Affine Design is owned and operated by Sean Brennan and Dan Brennan.

Sean has nuclear and mechanical engineering degrees and multidisciplinary experience in the nuclear, oil, and aerospace industries. He has worked as a mechanical design engineer on warhead demilitarization plants, nuclear power plants, turbine engines, missile defense systems, deep-sea oil well equipment, and opto-mechanical systems for space observatories. He enjoys making anything from racing drones to mathematical art, and bothering Dan in true-to-brother form. Sean’s LinkedIn page can be found here

Dan has degrees in physics and optics, which have provided him with the tools required to study a wide range of topics, including avalanches, liquid crystals, topological insulators, and (primarily) optics. He currently works as an optical engineer, developing and operating high precision measurement systems for large aperture optics. Dan's interests include self-organized criticality, universality within dynamical systems, the emergence of human culture, the philosophy of science, and his wife and two children with whom he is madly in love.
